Chapter 1: Kurai - Part 3

More and more Owsla members began to seek for Kurais company and that was not usual for a newbe in Efrafa. New Efrafan members were outsiders for at least the first few weeks. But it seemed that Kurai had a knack for getting new friends and blended in very fast.


Just two weeks later, Kurai became member of the Efrafan Owsla.
It seemed that a few of the Owslas recommended him for this post. The Owslas around Kurai were thrilled about that. Kurai seemed very pleased.

"I tell you what!" said Vervain to Campion "There's something fishy about that guy! I feel it in my guts!"
"So?" Campion answered briefly. Usually he didn't value Vervains opinion very high but he seemed to have a sense for traitors. The brown buck watched the scene for a few moments longer before he went outside the burrow to get some fresh air.

Even Moss, who was as close as possible to the captain, seemed to really like the new appointed Owsla.
